The Sales and Marketing Communications group at Oracle maintained a number of information vehicles at Oracle, including sales magazines and the Oracle radio station broadcasts (before ipod!) In 1999, every programmer on the planet was frantically working on the Y2K problem, when everyone who had ever been working in the print world suddenly woke up and realized that a mountain of print material needed to be put up on the web. Oracle hired me to help in the effort. Dashbord was but one of the portals to the online marketing resources.
