At McAfee I worked on many pages like this one. The work involved making edits to the content and images, which means modifying the XHTML, CSS, and Photoshop images. The pages are built in jsp (java server pages), and the generated pages, like most webpages, are built with several jsp pages. This means that the "backend" server-side handling of the dynamic pages is done with jsp programming.
The HTML or I should say, XHTML, which is the current standard of HTML, provides the framework grid for the content. The CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) define the font styles, colors, margins, padding, positioning, and so forth, for all of the classes of "div" box elements and their contents. This page shows some of the icons that I worked on for them.
