In the mid 1980's, the printing industry was revolutionized by the computer. Everyone who worked in that industry had to make the transition from drafting tables and light tables to the PC or the macintosh. We had to start learning a myriad of software tools, like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
I worked for Oracle in 1997 (Oracle8) and in 1999 (Oracle8i). Both contracts were for marketing groups. I did mostly Adobe Illustrator technical diagrams in 1997, and in 1999 I was hired to help a sales and marketing communications group make the transition to the web.
