Drawing Fundamentals:

The skill of drawing begins with the ability to see the world in basic 2-dimensional geometric shapes: circles, squares, rectangles, triangles, ovals, etc. and also 3-dimensional shapes: spheres, cubes, cylinders, pyramids, rectangular solids, etc. Virtually ALL representational drawing, whether the subject matter is organic or inorganic, natural or mechanical, is based upon this principal.
